Use spreadsheets to show where the money goes. Students can also buy supplies, some students save enough money to buy to other seats and then charge student rents. Students learn in 5th grade how to handle money.

Put as many things as possible out in front of the kids.

rewrite the songs in the keys that the students can play. Develop the ear, put on headphones and listen over and over.

When kids make music they start to do better in everything else.
Students are the best teacher. Don't play guitar hero, play guitar.
Listen to the voice of the child.
